My daughters 1st birthday party...any ideas?

Im having a small party in the country 15-20 people tops. Were going to bbq & I have theme picked out its very simple just purple & green.. Cake is done, Im trying to decide about ice cream..yes or no? Since it will be kind of chilly by that time. Besides the bbq & cake what should I have? I want to do something practical but creative...maybe? Ugh Idk! Im totally drawing a blank & its just a couple of weeks away. Any sincere suggestions will be appreciated! Thanks guys & gals!
