What should I do about this ?

He didn't want to be in the child's life and left very harshly (changed his #) and now I want answers (1 yr and 5 months later) I tried calling the work place today but he wasn't available they said call tomorrow. Should I live peaceful, leave it alone and move on like I have been doing or get a hold of him and get closure. It's not about money so don't bring that up I don't want nothing from him for my child because he made his statement clear but he did it in a wrong way we knew eachother so long we were GOOD friends after we broke up, I thought I knew who he was that's what scares me.
