Is Palm Beach in "the South?"?

Is Palm Beach County (excluding places like Boca Raton) part of the "South?" I know people say South FL is very northern but Palm Beach seems to be more Southern than say Miami. Politically and socially its conservative, much of the food here can be ociated with Dixie, people are very friendly and hospitable, most highschool kids here go to Southern schools, and we are in SEC country ;)
